Sunaina and Rahil’s wedding day was a gorgeous but cold day on the harbor in Baltimore. The wedding was held at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor, and although we had planned to get some portraits in the late afternoon/early evening on the harbor, plans don’t always go as planned… but often turn out for the best anyway. With the invaluable help of my second shooter for the shaadi and walima and dear friend, the amazing angel of Angel Kidwell Photography, and Adam from Akbar Sayed Photography as videographer, we got some incredible nighttime portraits of these two absurdly photogenic people before the ceremony and reception that followed. Starting below with some photos of the lovely Noureen Razak finishing up Sunaina’s makeup and hair, we had a little first look in front of the fireplace in the Hyatt’s lobby, then braved the cold for some city portraits. Sunaina and Rahil’s beautiful nikah ceremony was conducted by Imam Maqbool Patel, and the reception was followed by a rukhsathi in a gorgeous old car. stay tuned for photos from the walima the following day!
