Intimate or backyard weddings with your most beloved ones aren’t the worst alternative!

Intimate or backyard weddings with your most beloved ones aren’t the worst alternative!

That awful year may be finally behind us, but we’re not quite out of the woods yet! There is still so much uncertainty, but if you want to get married in these times, you should still be able to have lasting memories of your celebration, no matter how different it looks from your original plans.

So if you’ve got a small, safe, socially-distanced wedding, nikah, or other ceremony in the works for these strange times and need a photographer - please reach out! I’m booking outdoor ceremonies, and indoor events with limited guest counts, right now, and I’m happy to talk through any of your plans with you.

I’m also booking normal weddings for later this year and beyond, as always!

My portrait work is generally done outdoors anyways, so we are back in business as far as portrait sessions are concerned. Take a look at my portraits info page for session options and then get in touch!

Most of my work is between Maryland and North Carolina, so I’m sharing some updated information for each of those localities - keep in mind that restrictions may also vary between counties in the same state and may change at any time:

Maryland Maryland is currently under tightened gathering restrictions - ten individuals or fewer - to get safely through the holiday and cold season, and face masks and social distancing are still required in most situations. See Gov. Hogan's press release about the changes as well as information specific to Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Anne Arundel County, and Baltimore City for more details.
Virginia Since mid-November, Virginia has been under tightened gathering restructions (25 individuals or fewer). Face coverings and social distancing are still required in most situations. See Virginia's Coronavirus guidelines page for more details.
District of Columbia The District remains in Phase 2, with no private gatherings of over 10 people indoors or 25 people outdoors, and masks and social distancing are still required. Outdoor portraits are a thing again, though! Don't forget most places in DC require paid permits. See DC's Phase 2 info page for more details.
North Carolina North Carolina currently limits indoor gatherings to 10 individuals and outdoor gatherings to 50; there are eased restrictions specifically for weddings, however, although it depends on your plans. Social distancing and mask requirements are still in effect. See Gov. Cooper's Executive Order on Phase 3 extension for more details.

Please note that for every event or session I photograph in the near future, I will be wearing a mask, and if we are indoors in most places, you and your guests are also required to wear masks! This protects all of us and will get us back to normal as soon as possible!
