ria & kazi: gaye holud

so, remember this stunning couple from their engagement pictures? ria and kazi got married! the first event i'm sharing here is the gaye holud, the pre-wedding night in a bangladeshi wedding celebration. a riot of color; lots of dancing, food, fun; the bride and groom are ceremonially anointed by guests with a turmeric paste (where the word "holud" comes from). this was held at the beautiful preston hall in baltimore.stay tuned for the wedding!
