Seeking the light

I’ve been taking photos for over 25 years, but I’ve been an artist since I could hold a pencil. As a child, I loved drawing more than anything - I’ve been doing mehndi (henna) designs since I was five - and I grew into painting, photography, surface embroidery, and other handcrafts over the years.

The heart of my creative impulse is a yearning for beauty: with photography, it’s always in the way light defines a subject, and there are as many kinds of beauty as there are aspects of light.

Wedding and portrait photography gives me the opportunity to explore this art form through storytelling. At your wedding, I’m seeking not only the way you look at each other, but the way the light touches your form or defines her profile; in your portrait session, I use light to shape the mood, highlight emotions and express relationships.
