Gul & Humair - Baltimore Mehndi and Wedding Photography

Sometimes being a wedding photographer reminds me of being a reporter - you meet people briefly, and get to know them in very specific and limited ways for a very short time, but often they leave an impression that lasts much longer than the time you’re working together. Anyone can see from these photos how lovely Gul is, but I had a chance to get to know her just a little, and I hope these photos show the sincerity and genuine love for Humair and for her family that I was able to witness there. Gul and Humair were married almost a year ago - last March - but I’d been talking to Gul on and off about working with her for a couple of years already, having met her at her friends’ weddings before. It was such a pleasure to be a part of her own wedding finally; her mehndi was held at Lal Gila Restaurant in Baltimore, and the wedding at the Sheraton Baltimore North in Towson, MD; we took some portraits before the wedding started at Notre Dame of Maryland University under a cloudy sky, but when the sun came out briefly back at the hotel, we stepped outside for a few more there!
