Khadeeja & Zain - Kingsmill Resort Wedding

We’re about a month away from Khadeeja and Zain’s one-year anniversary, and I’ve been meaning to blog their gorgeous wedding at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., pretty much since it happened; but between trying to update my website last year and just getting through wedding season… yeah basically I slacked. But here it is! Khadeeja’s family, the Ashais, have been clients of mine on and off since 2011, and I don’t have the right words for how much I appreciate and admire this family. Khadeeja and Zain’s wedding was full of the same sincerity, down-to-earth vibes, and fun spirit that I’ve come to know at Ashai weddings, but most of all a sense of genuine, deep-rooted family love. I feel so incredibly lucky to be “their photographer”, and to be given the chance to share how i see their most important days. Last march, we were also blessed with insanely gorgeous weather two days in a row - the first day, for their nikah (vows) and mehndi, we took some evening portraits behind the resort’s main building and had the most brilliant gold sunset light! And the next day, for the wedding, we had the bluest skies imaginable. It was truly a blessed weekend and makes me so happy to go through these photos remembering it now :)
