sharing a few photos from a three-day bangladeshi wedding i shot last fall! jennifer and abir'sengagement session had already shown me how much love they had for each other; being a part of their wedding festivities and getting to know their wonderful families over those three days was a pure joy. here are some images from the first evening - the gaye holud, a bengali tradition, refers to the turmeric (haldi) paste traditionally applied to the brideβs and groomβs skin in preparation for the wedding day, but the evening encompasses so much more. for jenn and abir, it was a night of music, dance, celebration, anticipation and prayer; with fantastic rock music performed live by a band of abir's friends. stay tuned for the wedding and reception night photos!
